Project Launch: Developing Real World Authentic Learning

CARDET, leading a consortium of partners composed by Innovade LI, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the GC School of Careers, recently launched the project “Developing Real World Authentic Learning through the Partnership of Schools and Enterprises”, funded by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation . The project aims to advance education by developing and applying a model of authentic learning based on real-world problem solving through collaborations between schools and enterprises. More specifically, the model will be used to design and develop a teacher training programme in order to train school staff in creating, implementing, and evaluating learning activities using authentic learning approaches so as to engage and motivate learners.

Authentic learning involves complex activities based on real-life contexts so that students can draw connections between their education and the real world.
