CARDET, the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute, the International Council for Educational Media, and the University of Nicosia, organised a Conference and Workshops on the theme of "Visual Thinking, Visual Learning" on September 24, 2011. The event took place within the framework of two projects funded by the EU Lifelong Learning Programme:

• European Picture Book Collection II (Comenius Multilateral)
• Design-Practice - A Framework for Preparing Teachers to Teach with ICT (Leonardo Transfer of Innovation)

The event was held with great success. The audience included teachers, academics, NGO representatives and individuals. The workshops were particularly succesful, giving a chance to participants to find out more about the subject of Visual learning and the work done as part of the two Lifelong Learning projects.
