The “Training Programme for Persons with International Protection Status” has been a great success, providing learning opportunities to beneficiaries in a variety of employment-related courses. The overall aim of the programme was to support people with international protection status to be successfully integrated in the Cyprus labour market. The programme consisted of· courses on the following thematic units:

• Air-conditioning
• Computer skills (basic and advanced level)
• Business administration and entrepreneurship
• Web design
• Mentorship
• Employment strategies

The programme was offered by CARDET and INNOVADE LI in Nicosia, Limassol, and Larnaca. Classes were held from February to June 2011. This project is co-funded by the European Refugee Fund (75%) and the Republic of Cyprus (25%) (Action 2, European Refugee Fund 2009).
